MCHS Family of Services in Michigan seeks a Youth Development Coach - Level 1 to join the group treatment team within the residential program. The role provides trauma-focused support and assists in day-to-day operations of the residential department, including supervising clients and supporting their daily living activities.

As part of the group treatment team within the residential program, the Youth Development Coach - Level 1 provides trauma focused support and services to the clients within the program by assisting in the day-to-day functions within the residential department.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Requirements: Knowledge of behavior patterns of youth and methods of modifying behavior. Understanding group dynamics and sensitivity to individual members of the group. Will participate in 40hours of MCHS orientation. Will participate in 25hours of annual MCHS trainings. Will maintain an active CPI training certification.

Work is performed in the office, clients' homes, treatment and residential facilities, courts and work sites. Frequent travel may involve exposure to seasonal weather conditions, unsanitary conditions in homes, communicable diseases and unsafe environments. Duties may require contact with persons who are hostile or abusive, or with children who are upset and confused. Work may involve standing, walking, or running for multiple hours during the work shift.
