MCHS Family of Services in Michigan is seeking a Residential Shift Supervisor to oversee the Residential Village, handle crises, and supervise youth staff on the assigned shift. You will coach Youth Specialists, ensure safety across cottages, and coordinate staff coverage for current and upcoming shifts.
The role requires a bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field and at least two years in a child-care setting with SED youth; supervisory experience is preferred.
As part of the group treatment team, the Residential Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Residential Village program for the assigned shift; handling crisis situations; conducting continuous checks of the campus and all operational cottages to ensure a safe environment for youth residents; supervising and working with Youth Specialists through coaching and training to develop their skills; ensuring proper staff coverage for current and upcoming shifts.
Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in a human behavioral science such as Social Work or a related discipline where 25% of the course credits earned toward the degree are in human behavior sciences. Minimum of two (2) years experience in a child caring institution working with serious emotional disorder (SED) at-risk youth between the ages of 7 17; experience as a supervisor in a residential program preferred.
