Qualifications

  • Background check including state/national criminal history, DHS central registry check and professional references.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises youth and guides them through daily activities to promote a safe, humane, and therapeutic environment.
  • Addresses and redirects youth exhibiting interpersonal conflicts and behavioral problems using the facility’s behavioral management model.
  • Performs security checks of residents and areas, documenting issues per policy and procedure.
  • Administers behavior management programs and supervises educational, recreational, gym, meals, tutoring, and court activities.
  • Documents youth behaviors, actions, or incidents daily using logs and incident reports.

Education

30 credit hours in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology or related Human Service field
