Job summary

AYS is seeking energetic team players to help children thrive after school in Indianapolis. You’ll get paid to play, grow your career, and make a real difference in your community with an hourly wage of $12-$16 and 10-30 hours per week in afternoons, evenings, and summers.

No prior experience required – training provided. You’ll lead groups of kids, stay safe and on track, and bring enriching activities to life while collaborating with staff and attending required trainings.

The Physical Side of the Job:

Active on your feet — comfortable sitting and standing for extended periods throughout the day.

Ready to lend a hand — able to lift up to 20 lbs when setting up materials or supplies.

Quick when it counts — able to move fast and intervene calmly to keep everyone safe.

Confident decision-maker — able to read situations and act independently without waiting for direction.

Reliable transportation — able to get yourself to your assigned site consistently.
