Qualifications

• Four year high school diploma or educational equivalent and 3 years of direct work with youths in group/educational/institutional setting.
• Associate degree with 60 credits and 2 years 3 months of relevant experience.
• Associate degree with 12 social work credits and 1 year 9 months experience.
• Baccalaureate degree with 1 year 6 months experience.
• Baccalaureate degree with 12 social work credits and 1 year experience.
• Combined education/experience substitutions including military service or related coursework.

Responsibilities

• Assign, supervise, and evaluate the work performed by the Associate Youth Development Specialists.
• Implement and operationalize the behavior management incentive program.
• Review incident reports and notify MCCU of incidents.
• Coordinate delivery of services to youth in the detention facility.
• Schedule staff to maintain coverage for direct care units and facility.
• Prepare reports, performance evaluations, and use City Time per policy.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings for youth placement and safety.
