Job summary

Innovative Therapeutic Services (ITS) is seeking a part-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide behavioral health services to youth and young adults in a structured juvenile detention facility in Maryland.

You will perform mental health assessments, crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, family engagement, treatment planning and documentation while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related behavioral health field.
• Current, active Maryland licensure (LCPC, LCSW-C, or LCADC).
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional counseling experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 8–12 youth.
• Provide bi-weekly individual therapy, group therapy, and family engagement sessions (45–60 minutes).
• Facilitate weekly psychoeducational groups.
• Conduct mandated screenings, clinical assessments, and follow-up services.
• Provide crisis intervention and complete all required documentation.
• Complete daily clinical documentation in a timely manner.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, youth staffings, and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with behavioral health staff, detention personnel, and community partners.
• Maintain flexibility to work assigned schedules, including evenings, weekends, and company-observed holidays.
