Job summary

The Guidance Center in Kansas is seeking a Youth Community Support Specialist to deliver CPST to youth in Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties. Services are provided primarily in clients' homes and community settings, with evening hours required (1+ days per week after 5 p.m.).

We value a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field and at least one year of community experience. Competitive benefits include health, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Social Work, Psychology, or human services.
• One year of volunteer or paid experience in the community.
• Experience with mental health services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess client strengths and needs and help define goals and action plans.
• Collaborate with treatment planning and other providers to ensure timely care.
• Provide ongoing support toward client goals in home, financial, health, education, relationships and daily living.
• Engage clients and caregivers through outreach and relationship-building.
• Assist in locating resources to meet defined goals and needs.
• Transport clients to appointments when needed.
• Advocate for clients and coordinate with providers to meet treatment plans.
