Job summary

State of Utah is hiring for a full-time in-office position in West Valley City, UT. The role involves overseeing at-risk youth, conducting assessments, and developing individualized treatment plans as part of the Juvenile Justice and Youth Services program.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, six years of relevant paid experience/education balance, and a valid Utah driver’s license. Background checks and drug testing are standard requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Six years of paid work with troubled or at-risk youth required or equivalent education/experience.
  • A valid Utah Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and works with high risk/volatile youth with complex behavioral problems.
  • Assesses client physical, mental, social and behavioral needs.
  • Develops and implements individualized treatment plans.
  • Conducts individual, family, or group counseling sessions per treatment plan.
  • Identifies and applies appropriate security, safety, and control intervention techniques.
  • Supervises youth with complex behavioral needs.
  • Writes court reports, parole summaries, treatment plans and supervision standards.
  • Leads or supervises staff; delegates tasks and monitors quality.
