JJYS Youth Development Associate/Specialist is a full-time in-office position located in Cedar City, Utah. The role involves mentoring at-risk youth, supervising activities, and preparing court reports, parole summaries, and treatment plans.

The Ideal candidate has two years of paid experience with troubled youth and a valid Utah driver’s license. Salary ranges from $18.55 to $32.81 per hour depending on role, with benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Two years of paid working experience with troubled or at-risk youth.
• A valid Utah Driver's License.
• Youth Development Associate: $18.55 - $29.45 – Typically starts at $18.55 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, oversee and work closely with high risk/violent youth offenders.
• Schedule and provide supervision of individual and group activities.
• Writes court reports, parole summaries, treatment plans, and supervision standards.
• Assist with teaching a variety of pro-social, academic and vocational skills.
• Implement specialized treatment plans.
• Co-facilitate sessions with a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner.
• Pass the Integrated Crisis Response (ICR) intervention program within 90 days.
• Resolve potentially dangerous situations to ensure safety.
• Transport youth.
• Communicate information clearly in writing and verbally.
