Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) seeks a professional counselor to design and implement a counseling program for students at the Centennial Job Corps Center in Nampa, ID. You will plan, coordinate, and deliver individualized and group counseling in accordance with government and MTC directives.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with 15 semester hours in social services and at least one year of counseling experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 15 semester hours in social services related instruction and one year experience in counseling or related field required.
• Experience with youth and excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, develop, and implement a professional individual and group counseling program for assigned students in compliance with government and management directives.
• Review background files, conduct interviews and assessments, and recommend a program for each student.
• Maintain individual student folders and prepare UA reports and leave forms per PRH and MTC requirements.
• Provide ongoing educational, personal and social adjustment counseling; recommend program modifications as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and case notes using CIS and other systems.
