Job summary

Town of Castle Rock in Colorado seeks a youth swim coach to plan workouts, coach athletes in competitive strokes, organize relays, and communicate progress to parents. You may assist with first aid in emergencies and must pass a background check.

Requires at least one year coaching experience, a high school diploma or GED, and American Red Cross WSI, First Aid, CPR/Professional Rescuer, AED certifications. Travel to meets may be required; team‑oriented candidates are encouraged.

Qualifications

• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• One year of coaching experience; some teaching or coaching children preferred.
• Must hold American Red Cross certifications: WSI, First Aid, CPR/Professional Rescuer, AED and Administering Emergency Oxygen.
• Knowledge of Mountain High Swim League rules preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans workouts and coaches youth on competitive swimming during practices and meets.
• Organizes relays for swim meets.
• Directs Aides in working with participants.
• Communicate progress to parents.
