Job summary

Lutheran Services Florida seeks a Youth and Community Engagement Coordinator to connect youth with positive experiences, resources, and supports. This direct-care role requires strong community ties and a focus on reducing involvement in dependency or child welfare systems.

This position involves non-clinical youth counseling, program development with the Program Director, and travel across Miami and Homestead locations to engage local communities and partners.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Post-secondary education or degree in human services preferred.
• 1–3 years experience in adolescent and family counseling or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical counseling to individual youths and groups.
• Coordinate curricula and program supplies.
• Advocate for clients with community agencies, courts, DJJ, schools, etc.
• Maintain accurate records and fulfill administrative duties.
• Travel between Miami and Homestead locations as needed.
• Participate in staff training and team meetings.
