Rock Spot Climbing in South Kingstown, RI is seeking enthusiastic Youth Program Instructors to run weekly classes and special programming. Instructors provide high-quality instruction, safe learning environments, and engaging activities for young climbers.

You will plan lessons, communicate with parents, and collaborate with a supportive team to deliver excellent customer experiences while promoting climbing for all ages and abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or coaching a hands-on skill.
• Ability to work nights/weekends.
• Experience with youth of all ages.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsabilités

• First Class Customer Service - Maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning atmosphere for a 10 week session.
• High Quality Instruction - Teach hard skills as well as technique in a small group setting, while managing the flow of activities/learning during class and week to week.
• Professional Communication - Interact regularly and professionally with students and parents.
• Personalized Lesson Planning - Implement and monitor lesson plans and curriculum while adapting and modifying lessons based on the needs of individual students.
• Terrific Teamwork - Operate as part of a team and be able to perform all floor staff functions.

Youth Program Instructors at Rock Spot Climbing are responsible for providing excellent customer service to young students and their families by running weekly classes and special programming at our facilities. Youth Program instructors work under the supervision of the Program and Gym Managers of their facilities.

• High Quality Instruction - Teach hard skills as well as technique in a small group setting, while managing the flow of activities/learning during class and week to week.

Qualifications And Skills

We are looking for

• Outgoing, friendly personality
• Schooling in education, recreation, or a related field preferred
• Previous indoor rock climbing and belaying experience
• Experience teaching/coaching a hands on skill or sport
• Experience working with youth of all ages
• Experience creating or implementing lesson plans
• Ability to work nights/weekends
• Ability to engage an audience
• Ability to enforce rules and regulations
• Detail oriented and organized
• Punctual and reliable
