Job summary

Momentum Indoor Climbing is seeking a Youth Program Coach to deliver engaging, safe climbing instruction to youth participants. You will work under the Program Manager to create a welcoming environment that builds confidence, skills, and community while upholding Momentum's instructional standards.

This part-time, hourly role emphasizes participant engagement, safety, and strong customer service, with shifts and coverage coordinated through the team.

Qualifications

• Passion for climbing and enthusiasm for working with children.
• Minimum of one year of climbing experience with strong movement fundamentals.
• Experience coaching, teaching, mentoring or working with kids preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and adults.
• Ability to instruct groups in an energetic environment.

Responsibilities

• Coach recreational youth programs including Mo Mini, Base Camp, Youth Club, camps, clinics and other youth programming.
• Deliver safe, engaging and age-appropriate climbing instruction for varied ages.
• Assist with lesson delivery and adapt instruction to participant needs.
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship and a positive learning environment.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback while upholding safety policies.
• Maintain organized program spaces and assist with check-in and logistics.
