Job summary

Momentum Indoor Climbing in Utah seeks a Youth Program Coach to deliver engaging, safe, and high-quality climbing instruction to participants in our recreational youth programs. Working under the Program Manager, you will help climbers build skills, confidence, and community.

This hands-on role emphasizes participant engagement, safety, and customer service, with opportunities to assist camps, clinics, and events while upholding Momentum's instructional standards and values.

Qualifications

• Passion for climbing and enthusiasm for working with children.
• Minimum of one year of climbing experience with strong movement fundamentals.
• Experience coaching or teaching children preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and adults.
• Ability to instruct groups in an energetic environment.
• Ability to maintain a safe learning environment and respond to participant needs.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use common workplace software.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coach youth climbing programs including Mo Mini, Base Camp, Youth Club, camps, and clinics.
• Deliver safe, engaging, and age-appropriate instruction for varied ages and abilities.
• Assist with lesson delivery while adapting instruction to meet individual participant needs.
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive learning environment.
• Monitor participant progress and provide encouragement and feedback.
• Maintain safety and enforce climbing policies.
