Job summary

Momentum Indoor Climbing in Seattle, WA seeks a part-time Youth Program Coach to deliver engaging, safe climbing instruction for youth programs. You will work under the Program Manager to foster confidence, community, and skill development in young climbers.

The role emphasizes participant engagement, safety, and customer service, with opportunities to collaborate with instructors and program staff in a dynamic gym setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of climbing experience.
• Experience coaching children preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coach recreational youth climbing programs including Mo Mini, Base Camp, Youth Club, camps, clinics, and other youth programming as assigned.
• Deliver safe, engaging, and age-appropriate climbing instruction for participants of varying ages and ability levels.
• Assist with lesson delivery while adapting instruction to meet individual participant needs.
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive learning environment.
• Monitor participant progress and provide encouragement and constructive feedback.
• Maintain high standards of safety and enforce all climbing policies and procedures.
