Job summary

The Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment seeks a New Voices Youth Program Lead to plan, execute, and evaluate the Summer Climate Justice Leadership Academy and yearlong Fellowship. You will design curriculum, engage students, recruit participants, supervise temporary staff, and manage logistics for in-person work in Oakland or field settings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience educating youth, coordinating youth programs, or in leadership development.
• Experience with curriculum development and program planning and evaluation.
• Experience coordinating event and community outreach logistics.

Responsibilities

• Lead program management and student engagement activities for Summer Academy and school-year Fellowship.
• Develop recruitment materials and onboard youth participants.
• Coordinate all program logistics, including venues, speakers, virtual meetings, food, materials.
• Develop six-week Summer Academy curriculum and field trips.
• Mentor Fellows and coordinate capstone projects with youth.
• Coordinate opportunities for engagement with public agencies and community groups.
