Job summary

United Trading Group is seeking an JJYS Technician II-Slate Canyon Youth Center in Provo, UT. This full-time, in-office role involves working with youth ordered into the care of JJYS, monitoring activities, coordinating programs, and ensuring safety through de‑escalation techniques.

Training will be provided within the first 90 days, including new-employee and de‑escalation training. The position requires availability for rotating shifts, a high school diploma or GED, and preferably a Utah

Qualifications

• Availability to work rotating shifts, days, swing, graveyard, weekends and holidays.
• Candidates who speak multiple languages.
• Candidate must have a valid Utah driver's license (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Work closely with youth in care and custody.
• Monitor visitors and residents within the facility.
• Coordinate activities for the youth.
• Assist the Control Supervisor with perimeter checks.
• Apply intervention techniques to ensure safety of staff and youth.
• Complete training within 90 days post-hire including de-escalation training.
• Transport youth as needed.
• Provide intervention, supervision and rehabilitation programs for youth offenders.
