Job summary

City of Farmington Hills is seeking an after-school youth program facilitator to support check-in/out, lead activities, and supervise students across multiple spaces within the community center. Must be available weekdays 2:00pm-6:00pm and work up to 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities include planning activities with the Education Coordinator, enforcing program policies, and ensuring a safe, engaging environment for youth. CPR/First Aid preferred; High school diploma or higher required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth in formal or informal settings.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Archery Instructor Level 1 or higher optional for specific programming.

With the support of the Education Coordinator, plan a variety of activities for students. Must be available during program hours Monday thru Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm.

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE:

Must have experience working with youth in a formal and/or informal setting.

EDUCATION and SPECIAL TRAINING AND SKILLS:

CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Archery Instructor Level 1 or higher optional for specific programming. Must have high school diploma or higher.

STARTING DATE & WORK SCHEDULE

ASAP

10-20 hours per week on a schedule agreed upon between the applicant and the Recreation Specialist.
