The South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is seeking an entry-level case management specialist to coordinate assessment, planning, monitoring, and advocacy for youth referred to DJJ. You will interview youth and families, develop supervision plans, ensure court-order compliance, maintain records, and participate in restorative justice initiatives and professional development.

This position requires travel across the state; on-call rotation and lifting up to 25 lbs may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in social science or its equivalent.
• Knowledge of federal/state laws and regulations pertaining to juvenile offenders.
• Ability to organize and maintain a case load; effective written and oral communication.
• Experience or ability to work with community collaborative initiatives.

Aufgaben

• Serve as primary case manager for youth referred to DJJ through diversion, intake, probation, or parole supervision.
• Interview juveniles, families and service providers to assess functioning, strengths and needs.
• Monitor juvenile for compliance with court orders.
• Provide a comprehensive plan of supervision including diversion, intake, probation or parole.
• Develop a comprehensive needs-based case management plan.
• Advocate on behalf of youth and families to ensure timely services.
• Maintain JJMS data entry and document uploads.
• Promote restorative justice practices to address harm and provide community repair.
• Prepare reports, forms, and participate in meetings; engage in professional development.
• Performance of duties with travel across the state and occasional overnight training.
