South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice seeks an entry level specialist to provide case management coordination for youth across diversion, intake, probation, or parole. You will interview youth and families, assess needs, and develop supervision and re-entry plans while maintaining JJMS records.

Some overnight travel and lifting up to 25 lbs may be required. A bachelor’s degree in social science and knowledge of juvenile justice laws are required; proficiency with Microsoft Office and

• Bachelor's degree in social science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of juvenile justice laws and probation functions.
• Ability to organize and maintain a caseload.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS applications.

Responsabilités

• Serve as primary case manager for youth referred to DJJ.
• Interview youths, family members, and service providers to assess functioning.
• Monitor compliance with court orders.
• Provide alternatives to incarceration through graduated responses.
• Serve as on-call agent on rotation.
• Develop comprehensive supervision plans for diversion, probation, or parole.
• Advocate for youth and families to access timely services.
• Conduct assessments for services and re-entry planning.
• Maintain case files and JJMS data.
• Promote restorative justice practices.
• Prepare reports and participate in meetings.
• Participate in job-related training and workshops.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
