Management & Training Corporation is seeking a counselor for the Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, OR. You will plan, develop, and implement a professional individual and group counseling program for assigned students, ensuring compliance with government and company directives.

This full-time role emphasizes supporting youth through education, adjustment, and life skills. A Bachelor’s degree with social services coursework and one year of counseling experience are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with youth and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in using computer systems for documentation and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree with coursework in social services is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, develop and implement counseling for assigned students per directives.
• Review background files, conduct interviews, and recommend programs.
• Maintain student folders and prepare reports; document progress in CIS and other systems.
• Provide individual and group counseling; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Refer students for medical/psych eval or transfer to other programs when appropriate.
