Job summary

Rite of Passage Brand is hiring a Youth Care Worker at The Oak Academy in Brownwood, Texas. You will provide safety and around-the-clock in person supervision of youth at a secure residential facility, supporting their physical, personal and health needs through counseling and skill development.

Youth Care Workers collaborate with therapists, teachers and staff to implement treatment plans, monitor behaviors, and help youths participate in education, recreation and family activities.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
• Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and around-the-clock in person supervision of youth at a secure residential facility
• Address the physical, personal and health needs of each youth through counseling and skill development
• Monitor and document behaviors and activities; assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities
• Collaborate with other professional staff to meet each youth's treatment plan goals
