Job summary

Tomorrow's Children Inc. is seeking an ambitious Youth Care Worker to support children with emotional and behavioral challenges in a homelike setting. You will supervise 6 to 7 children, help with daily living skills, and assist in academic activities under staff direction.

You will participate in behavioral programming, record progress, and engage children in sports and social opportunities. Shifts vary, including weekends and holidays, with potential for pay increases based on review.

Qualifications

• Ambitious Youth Care Worker with drive to support children with emotional and behavior problems.
• Experience in group home or residential settings is a plus.
• College courses helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and interact with 6 to 7 children with emotional and/or behavioral problems in a home-like environment.
• Perform household responsibilities to include meals, general cleaning and minor maintenance necessary to keep children safe.
• Engage and positively interact with children on a daily basis.
• Teach and assist with activities of daily living.
• Develop and run behavioral programming.
• Accurately record data and update records.
• Teach proper social skills.
• Assist in academic programming and supervision during school hours and complete requirements of teacher's aide license.
• Participate in sports activities with the children.
• Position involves working varied shifts, weekends and holidays. 1 weekend off per schedule period.
• Involves working 7 - 3 or 3-11 with 2 to 4 11p-7a shifts per month.
• Provide shift coverage as needed in emergencies.
• Position pay can increase based on continuous employment and satisfactory review.

Tomorrow's Children Inc is a Non Profit Residential Treatment Facility that provides treatment for children with emotional and behavior problems. We work with these children in a homelike environment teaching them daily living skills, proper social skills, appropriate behavior on a daily basis.
