Job summary

Delta-T Group Los Angeles, Inc. in Pasadena seeks a Youth Care Worker to support high-need youth in foster care environments. You will engage with youths, help with schoolwork, and maintain attentive supervision to ensure safety and well-being.

The role emphasizes guiding behaviors, fostering trust, and coordinating with caregivers to provide stable, supportive care for the children served.

Qualifications

• Experience working with at risk individuals (paid or unpaid).
• Current medical/health documents including: physical examination, Tuberculosis/TB Skin Test, CPR, and First Aid certification.
• High School diploma or higher.
• Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered under applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide services for high and at-risk children and youth with behavior and/or mental health challenges.
• Majority of work will be in Foster Care Homes under supervision of caregiver/foster parent.
• Engage with the youths; assist with schoolwork and discuss life interests.
• Provide line of sight supervision without overwhelming the child.

Our client is seeking a Youth Behavioral Aide in the Pasadena area.

AVAILABLE HOURS

• Long term independent contractor or Part-time shifts
• Evening and weekend hours

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

• Provide services for high and at-risk children and youth with behavior and or mental health challenges
• Majority of work will be in Foster Care Homes, under the direction of caregiver/foster parent
• Engage with the youths. Assist with schoolwork and ask about their life (likes or dislikes)
• Provide line of sight supervision without overwhelming the child
• Redirect negative and problematic behaviors

CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Experience working with at risk individuals (paid or unpaid)
• Produce current medical/health documents including: physical examination, Tuberculosis/TB Skin Test, CPR, and First Aid certification
• High School diploma or higher
• Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
