Job summary

Rite of Passage is hiring a Youth Care Worker at Lake Granbury Youth Services in Granbury, Texas. The role involves supervising youth in a secure residential setting, providing for their physical, personal and health needs through counseling and skill-building, and working with a team to meet each youth's treatment plan.

You will collaborate with staff on education, social, athletic and recreational activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum age 21 or older.
• Ability to pass criminal background check, drug, TB tests.

What you will do

Youth Care Workers provide safety and around-the-clock in person supervision of youth at a secure residential facility. In this role, you will provide for the physical, personal and health needs of each youth through individual counseling and skill development. Youth Care Workers provide an atmosphere that is supportive of the youth’s needs; monitor and document behaviors and activities; and participate and assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities. Youth Care Workers collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth's treatment plan.

To be considered you should

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
• Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry

Schedule

3.5 days per work – (3) 12-hour shifts and then 1/2 Day. Day‑shift: 7am-7pm Night‑shift: 7pm-7am
