Job summary

Norris Academy in Andersonville, TN is seeking Youth Care Workers to support autistic youth onsite. This 100% onsite role follows a 4 days on / 3 days off schedule with a pay rate of $17 per hour plus guaranteed overtime.

The position includes a $1,000 bonus after completing essential skills training within 90 days, and duties such as assisting residents, promoting independence, enforcing rules, and providing a caring, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass a background screening, drug test, and physical.
• Have at least 1 year experience working with autistic youth.
• Have a passion to work with and help children.

Are you ready to make an IMPACT from day one? Nestled just outside the Great Smoky Mountains, around 30 miles North of Knoxville, in a small, quaint, beautiful town, called Andersonville, sits Norris Academy, a residential treatment facility that offers comprehensive, holistic services to youth with autism spectrum disorders, and/or other neurodevelopmental diagnosis.

Compensation Range: $17 per hour. Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period.

What you will do: A day in the life of a Youth Care Worker at Norris Academy is rarely the same, HARD WORK, EXCITING, IMPACTFUL, and very REWARDING. As a youth care worker at Norris Academy, you are helping to care for and support autistic youth. This is a 100% onsite position. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist residents with personal care tasks

To be considered you should:

Schedule/hours/shifts: Our 4 days on, 3 days off (opposite the 2nd week) schedule, allows our employees more time to rest, take care of personal affairs, and reduces burnout. Schedule choices are as follows;

1. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Every Other Wednesday 7am-7:30pm

2. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Every Other Wednesday 7am- 7:30pm
