Job summary

Manos House in Columbia, PA seeks a compassionate Youth Care Worker to supervise and support youth residents in a safe, structured living environment.

This part-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to pass background checks, and CPR/First Aid certification, with evening and overnight shifts. You will coordinate with families and providers, document activities, and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with youth in residential, educational, or community settings preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, supervision, and mentorship to youth residents.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
• Assist youth with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, school, and activities.
• Support development of life skills and positive behavior.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and shift progress notes.
• Communicate effectively with team members, families, and service providers.
• Respond appropriately to crisis situations using approved intervention techniques.
