Job summary

Nexus Family Healing in Manteno, IL seeks a Youth Care Professional for the Overnight Shift at its Indian Oaks location. This full-time, on-site role runs 9:00 pm–7:30 am with 3rd shift scheduling and competitive hourly pay of $21.10.

Responsibilities include mentorship, daily living support, and medication administration within established guidelines. The program emphasizes trauma-informed care, family stabilization, and cultural sensitivity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 1+ years' experience in human services, treatment, case management or counseling.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must pass IL DCFS background check.
• Ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals.
• Willingness to meet cultural needs of communities.

Responsibilities

• Engages with clients with mentorship and supervision per guidelines.
• Coaches clients to achieve daily living activities and personal hygiene.
• Ensures adherence to program schedules including school, therapy and visits.
• Administers medications per protocol and maintains accurate records.
• Provides therapeutic interventions within treatment boundaries.
• Plans and supervises off-site client activities and groups.
• Maintains positive team interactions and participates in staff meetings.
• Respects cultural differences in service delivery.

Schedule & Pay:

• This is a full-time, on-site position
• Location: 101 N Bramble Street, Manteno, IL 60950
• Overnight staff are scheduled to work 3rd Shift (9:00 pm - 7:30 am) throughout the week.
• Workdays follow one of two set schedules: TuesdaySaturday or SundayThursday, based on business needs.
• Pay: $21.10 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Initiates engagement with client and provides safe interactions, mentorship and supervision of their daily activities and behaviors according to established guidelines and procedures.
• Monitors and coach's clients to achieve activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, grooming, upkeep of living areas and laundry.
• Assures clients adhere to and engage in the daily schedules and activities established for the program, including school, therapy sessions, group sessions, external appointments, and family visits.
• Administers medications accurately per established protocols; ensures the documentation and recording requirements of client record is accurate and compliant.
• Engages in therapeutic interventions with clients within treatment parameters, while always maintaining healthy and appropriate boundaries with clients and families.
• Plans, participates, and successfully carries out off-campus client activities as designed while effectively managing the group, and providing appropriate supervision of client/s.
• Maintains positive team interactions, and regularly attends and actively participates in staff meetings, positively representing and advocating for the needs of clients (and their families as applicable).
• Recognize and value cultural differences in all aspects of work and service delivery.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 1+ years' experience in a field of treatment, probation, case management in human services, in-home work, therapy, or counseling.
• Valid driver's license required (must meet state driving criteria and pass corporate eligibility standards).
• Must successfully pass an IL DCFS criminal background check.
• Must have the ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities and understand their unique needs and challenges.
• Must be open to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities, considering factors such as language, traditions, and values.

Work Environment:

• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100+ pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time (2-4 hours).
• Must be able to twist, bend and stretch in a manner conducive to the execution of daily activities within the residential program.
• Must be able to assist in proper restraining of client.
• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop and/or laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.
