Job summary

Nexus Family Healing in Onarga, IL is hiring temporary Youth Care Professionals for our Onarga location. The role supports youth aged 10–20 in a structured, homelike setting with a focus on mental health and trauma-informed care.

We offer a full-time schedule with training, a $1,000 sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits including PTO, holidays, health insurance, and a 401(k) match. Location: 110 N Locust, Onarga, IL.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license required and background check clearance.
• Ability to meet diverse cultural needs of clients.

Responsibilities

• Daily Youth Care Support and mentorship.
• Plan daily activities, treatment planning, guidance, and safety protocols.
• Coaching daily living skills, including hygiene and upkeep.
• Administer medications and maintain documentation.
• Provide trauma-informed care and support treatment goals.
• Lead client activities, transport, and off-site supervision.
• Ensure safety, crisis management, and adherence to policies.
• Participate in onboarding, training, and team collaboration.
