Job summary

Rite of Passage is hiring a Youth Care Worker for Childhelp, Alice C. Tyler Village in Lignum, Virginia. You will provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for at-risk youth in a residential treatment setting.

Responsibilities include meeting physical, personal and educational needs, documenting behaviors, and collaborating with staff to follow each youth's treatment plan. Starting pay ranges from $19 to $23 per hour with benefits and a $1,000 bonus after essential skills training.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Approximately 6 months experience with children preferred.
• Must pass background check, drug screen, physical and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and around-the-clock supervision of at-risk youth in a residential facility.
• Address physical, personal and educational needs through counseling and skill development.
• Monitor and document behaviors; support educational, social, athletic and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with staff to meet each youth's treatment plan goals.
