Job summary

Child & Family Support Services (CFSS) in Arizona is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide supportive services to children and adolescents in the community. The role focuses on mentoring, coaching, and implementing individualized treatment plans to help youths overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

This full-time position emphasizes teamwork, hands-on support, and documentation duties, including progress notes and incident reports, while engaging families and supervising

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; related bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• At least one year of experience working with children with behavioral and emotional challenges.
• Must be 21 years or older; valid AZ driver's license with clean record; reliable transportation; negatives drug test; DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card; CPR and First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to children and adolescents in the community.
• Implement treatment plans and provide progress updates.
• Plan and facilitate activities for physical and emotional regulation, social skills, and positive behaviors.
• Teach life skills such as communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and self-care.
• Maintain documentation, including progress notes and incident reports.
• Collaborate with families, clinicians, and community partners; attend supervision and team meetings.
