Job summary

Child & Family Support Services, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Coconino County. The role involves mentoring youth to overcome challenges, recognizing potential, and making a positive community impact.

Responsibilities include one-on-one or small group support, implementing treatment plans, planning activities for emotional and social development, and maintaining detailed progress documentation. Full-time with a strong emphasis on teamwork and community engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; related bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• At least one year of experience with children with behavioral and emotional challenges.
• Must be 21 years or older and have a valid Arizona driver's license with adequate driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with behavioral health challenges through mentoring, role-modeling, coaching and tailored interventions.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to children and adolescents in the community.
• Implement treatment plans and provide progress updates to the supervising clinician.
• Plan and facilitate activities promoting emotional regulation, social skills and positive behaviors.
• Teach life skills such as communication, problem-solving and self-care.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and community partners.
• Complete documentation including progress notes and incident reports.
• Work effectively within a team and attend supervision and meetings.
• Be proficient in typing and using a computer for documentation.
• Perform other duties related to the position.
