Job summary

San Diego Center for Children is seeking a Youth Coach to support a therapeutic milieu in the partial hospitalization program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). You will work with up to 15 youth daily, facilitating DBT, CBT, life skills, and wellness activities while modeling effective communication and coping skills.

Schedule is Monday–Friday. Four days 8:45–3:30, one day 12:00–7:30, with evenings possible based on program needs. Safety and collaboration are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Loves to work with kids.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support in implementation of therapeutic milieu in PHP and IOP.
• Facilitate DBT, CBT, life skills and other wellness activities.
• Monitor youth safety and support youth with coping strategies.
• Document participation per NTST/Medi-Cal requirements.
• Collaborate with PHP/IOP teams to achieve treatment goals.
