Job summary

PsychPlus in Irvine, CA is hiring a Full-Time Behavioral Health Specialist for our Child & Adolescent IOP program at the Irvine clinic.

You will work with adolescents aged 11–17, provide individual and group therapy, biopsychosocial assessments, and family work, and collaborate with therapists to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Experience with adolescents 11–17 preferred but not required.
• Experience in mental/behavioral health or healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Experience working with youths ages 11–17 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support adolescents in the Child & Adolescent IOP program.
• Build trusting relationships with patients ages 11–17.
• Provide support to adolescents with emotional and behavioral concerns.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
• Collaborate with therapists, clinicians, and the treatment team.
• Effectively communicate observations and patient information.

Schedule: Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

We are hiring a Full-Time Behavioral Health Specialist to join our Child & Adolescent IOP Program at our Irvine, CA Clinic.

This role is an important part of the team in treating adolescents struggling with mental health challenges. This role includes group work, individual therapy, biopsychosocial assessment, and family work. We're looking for someone passionate about mental health, ready to make a positive impact on the lives of teens!

What You’ll Do

• Support adolescents participating in our Child & Adolescent IOP
• Build positive, trusting relationships with patients ages 11–17
• Provide support to adolescents experiencing a variety of emotional and behavioral concerns
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
• Collaborate with therapists, clinicians, and other members of the treatment team
• Communicate observations and relevant patient information effectively
• Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Demonstrate sound judgment and respond appropriately to challenging situations

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or a related mental health field preferred, but not required
• Previous experience in a mental health, behavioral health, or healthcare setting preferred, but not required
• Experience working with children or adolescents ages 11–17 preferred.
