Job summary

Arlington Heights Park District is seeking a Youth Basketball Scorekeeper to operate the electronic scoreboard, record game data accurately, and contribute to a positive experience for young athletes. Positions are part-time with Saturday and Sunday shifts, totaling roughly 4–12 hours weekly.

Fall and winter seasons run late Oct–Dec and early Jan–mid March, with training dates to be announced. Typical pay is $16–$17 per hour, with training provided.

Qualifications

• High school student, high school graduate, or G.E.D.
• Minimum age of 15 is required
• One to two years of work experience keeping score for sporting events
• Or, any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

• Standing or sitting for sustained periods while completing work
• Repetitive hand/arm movements such as when keeping score or running a scoreboard
• Some bending, twisting, and walking while performing job duties
• Some bending, kneeling and reaching for items off the floor and on high shelves
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. in recreational equipment, storage boxes, and other supplies.
