Job summary

ComEd Recreational Center is seeking a dedicated Baseball Instructor for a part-time, non-exempt role in Chicago. You will lead practices, run drills and games, and mentor young players toward fundamental skill development while fostering teamwork and safety.

Ideal candidates include current students or grads with athletics background. CPR certification is required, and hours include nights, weekends, and holidays. Competitive hourly pay noted.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated passion for developing children in sports.
• Experience working with children across age groups.
• Ability to adapt coaching to different learning styles.

Responsibilities

• Lead drills and small-group instruction during practices and games.
• Create age-appropriate baseball routines to develop fundamentals.
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship and safety on and off the field.
• Maintain space and field safety during practices and games.
• Assist with officiating and fair play during games.
