Job summary

i9 Sports is seeking a Baseball Coordinator to support players, parents, and coaches in the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area. The role involves hands-on coaching, observing, and assisting coaches to deliver instructional content across age groups.

You will empower volunteer coaches, ensure safety and fair play, manage equipment setup and game-day operations, and provide positive customer service on game days and during practices. Weekend shifts required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to and from the venue.
• At least 2 years of sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience.
• Highly motivated self-starter; able to work independently and solve problems.
• Awareness and ability to take charge to ensure player safety.
• Positive attitude and strong ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and some evenings for the full season.
• Must have a smartphone with internet capability.
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check (required).

Responsibilities

• Empower volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun.
• Understand and enforce i9 Sports rules to maintain a safe, enjoyable environment.
• Teach and demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values.
• Set up and break down game/practice field equipment.
• Keep time and score during games and manage age-appropriate instruction and competition.
• Provide a consistently positive attitude and superior customer service.
• Assist volunteer coaches during practice with drills and answer questions.
• Supervise overall operation of designated sports on game day.
