Job summary

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an ARMS Mental Health Practitioner to work with young people aged 14–35 in North East Essex, handling assessment and case coordination within an ARMS team.

You will build therapeutic relationships, deliver psychosocial interventions including CBT and family work, and use CAARMS (training provided) to identify those at risk, offering up to three years of support with supervision.

Qualifications

• Qualified mental health professional (Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist) with experience in youth mental health.
• Experience in assessment and care planning within mental health services.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and deliver psychosocial interventions.

Responsibilities

• Assess and coordinate care for ARMS service users aged 14–35.
• Develop positive therapeutic relationships with service users and families.
• Provide psychosocial interventions including CBT and family work.
• Utilise CAARMS assessment tool (training provided) to identify those at risk.
• Deliver care within NICE guidelines and Early Intervention standards.
• Provide supervision and support to junior staff and peer workers.
