Job summary

River Oak Center for Children in Elk Grove, California, is seeking a Certified Peer Support Coordinator for our Flexible Integrated Treatment (FIT) program. This role leverages lived experience navigating foster care and related services to advocate for youth and families and to connect them with essential supports.

You will perform home and school visits, help identify community resources, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet treatment goals while maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of responsible work experience.
• Must have lived experience or prior use of foster care or child welfare services.
• Strong communication, networking, and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for clients, parents, and families; attend meetings and inform youth of rights and options.
• Perform home and school visits to build relationships and empower youth and families.
• Identify resources and help families locate and use community, Agency, and other services.
