Job summary

Coffman YMCA in Springboro, OH seeks a Sports Director to develop, organize, and implement high-quality YMCA sports programs for youth and adults. The role is full-time and exempt, offering a competitive annual salary in the low-to-mid $40k range.

The position requires supervisory experience, a 2-year degree (Bachelor's preferred), and required CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certifications within 60 days of hire. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are also needed.

Qualifications

• 2-year college degree or applicable experience required; Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred.
• CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen required within first 60 days.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience demonstrated with staff and committees.
• Experience in youth and adult sports program areas.

Responsibilities

• Directs and monitors youth and adult sports operations to meet YMCA objectives and safety regs.
• Develops, monitors and forecasts program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
• Establishes new program activities and expands programming within the community.
• Maintains accurate sport records including registration, stats and attendance.
• Recruits, hires, trains, and motivates personnel and volunteers.
• Develops strategies to motivate staff and volunteers to achieve goals.
• Ensures staff certifications are current and complete.
• Coordinates facilities use for program activities and assists with events.
