Job summary

Save the Family Foundation of Arizona seeks a Youth Activities Coordinator to design and lead programs that help youth grow in confidence and collaboration. You will plan activities such as art projects, STEM challenges, and homework support, while building inclusive, safe spaces and fostering community connections for young people.

You’ll develop seasonal calendars, coordinate outreach, supervise volunteers, and document activities for reports and funding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of two years of paid experience with school aged children.
• Able to work outside traditional office hours and occasional weekends as needed.
• Experience with children who have behavioral or emotional support needs preferred.
• Some experience in the non-profit sector preferred.
• Prior experience managing and/or working with volunteers preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and clean driving record required.
• Be 21 years of age or older for liability insurance requirements.
• Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card OR must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Eligible to work in the United States of America

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities such as art projects, STEM challenges, and homework assistance.

• Develop seasonal activity calendars balancing fun, learning, and skill-building.
• Foster a safe, inclusive environment for all participants.
• Complete written documentation of program activities for yearly reports and funding sources, including youth assessments.
• Mentor and guide youth, modeling positive behavior and encouraging personal responsibility.
• Maintain knowledge of community resources and activities for Youth.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain youth files in Salesforce and data systems.
• Manage youth-related programs and activities, including completing case plan goals with families.
• Adhere to STF and ARM policies and procedures.
• Additional tasks deemed necessary by management to meet program requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities such as, art projects, STEM challenges, and homework assistance, and more.
• Provide community outreach opportunities for children/youth to participate in a variety of appropriate educational, recreational, and self-development activities.
• Develop seasonal activity calendars that balance fun, learning, and skill-building.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants.
• Complete written documentation of program activities as needed for yearly reports and agency funding sources, including youth assessments. .
• Mentor and guide youth, modeling positive behavior and encouraging personal responsibility.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of community resources and activities for Youth.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation, and maintain the assigned youth files in a timely manner within Salesforce and other data systems as assigned,
• Manage youth-related programs and activities, including completing case plan goals and working with the team on completing the goals monthly with the family.
• Adhere to STF and ARM policies and procedures.
• Additional tasks deemed necessary by management to meet program requirements and needs.

• Demonstrated familiarity with Save the Family’s service population, including diverse cultural and socioeconomic characteristics

MINMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma required

• Since position requires frequent driving to various job sites to provide services and occasionally transport clients, a valid Arizona driver’s license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and clean driving record are required
• Be 21 years of age or older for liability insurance requirements.
• Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card OR must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
