Job summary

CorePower Yoga in Atlanta seeks a dedicated instructor to deliver CPY classes and foster a welcoming, inclusive studio atmosphere. You will guide students through CPY-aligned sequences, provide alignment cues, and modify postures as needed to support all levels.

Front desk duties and class planning are part of the role, with a focus on community growth. Expect to stay onsite, attend classes, and participate in studio initiatives while maintaining health protocol standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from a 200-hour yoga teacher training with 50 hours CE for CPY formats.
• Format-related 200-hour training in person/online, or CorePower Yoga Online training plus 50hr Yoga Sculpt Intensive.
• Current CPR/AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CorePower Yoga classes and guide students through CPY-aligned sequences.
• Provide welcoming front desk check-in and navigate POS transactions.
• Educate students on alignment and offer posture modifications.
• Be present 30 minutes before/after class for planning and community connection.
• Support studio and CPY initiatives, memberships, and retail outreach.
• Maintain CPY Smart Health Protocol cleanliness and studio standards.

Job description

• Deliver an extraordinary CorePower Yoga experience
• Provide a welcoming front desk check-in process
• Guide students through CPY-aligned classes
• Support individual students in living their power
• Teach a minimum of two CorePower Yoga classes per week for a minimum of 4 hours in studio
• Educate students on alignment and offer posture modifications
• Use CPY cueing formulas consistently
• Be present 30 minutes before and after each class to read studio communications, plan classes, and connect with the student community
• Connect with students before and after class to support personal growth, studio growth, and CPY initiatives
• Welcome students, check them in, navigate POS transactions, and perform front desk duties
• Perform assigned cleaning tasks to maintain CPY Smart Health Protocol cleanliness standards
• Uphold CPY Core Values and foster positive working relationships
• Act as an in-studio ambassador for CPY initiatives and business streams, including memberships, programming, lifestyle programs, and retail

Requirements

• Certificate of completion from a 200-hour yoga teacher training with an additional 50 hours of continuing education for C1, C2, HPF and Hot Formats or a Yoga Sculpt or Fitness Training plus an additional 40 hours of continuing Education for Yoga Sculpt (prior to June 2020)
• Certificate from a format related 200-hour yoga teacher training in person/online, and/or a CorePower Yoga Online teacher training and/or completion of 50HR Yoga Sculpt Intensive (after June 2020)
• Current CPR/AED certification required
• High School diploma preferred
• Excellent oral communication skills, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Ability to lead students in physical activity for a maximum 1.5 hours at a time
• Ability to withstand exposure to heat of a maximum of 104 degrees for a minimum of 60 minutes in heated classes
• Ability to move around the studio space, crouch, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Assigned a studio set including a home studio and supporting studio(s), with ability to teach permanent classes, prioritize subbing support, receive routine feedback and communications, and support community growth and CPY initiatives
