You will maintain equipment, assess participant levels, attend trainings, and embody the Y’s mission while delivering exceptional service and contributing to a welcoming fitness environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience teaching yoga
• Certified Yoga Instructor with recognized accreditation
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of various yoga styles with ability to adapt instruction
• Team player with positive, service-oriented attitude
• Ability to learn from feedback and improve continuously
• Willingness to uphold YMCA HR guidelines and policies

Responsibilities

• Lead individual or group yoga classes as designated by supervisor.
• Arrive 7-10 minutes before class and start on time.
• Assist with maintenance requests for fitness equipment as needed.
• Assess participant levels and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Set up and put away equipment.
• Follow YMCA Fitness Program objectives and policies.
• Complete incident/accident reports for injuries.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Support Center and Association goals and directions.
• Act as an ambassador of the YMCA and its brand.
