Job summary

Greater Austin YMCA is hiring a Yoga Instructor to create inclusive, supportive spaces for all experience levels. You will lead classes, guide breathing, demonstrate poses, and ensure safety while embodying the Y's mission.

You bring a current yoga certification (Yoga Alliance RYT-200 or equivalent), the ability to modify poses for varied abilities, strong communication, and a team-oriented mindset. Flexible scheduling including mornings, evenings, and weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have active Yoga Alliance certification (RYT-200 or higher).
• Ability to modify poses for varying abilities.
• Strong communication and professional presence.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver yoga classes with proper sequencing, alignment, and mindfulness.
• Modify poses and provide options for different abilities.
• Demonstrate safe technique and correct form to ensure participant safety.
• Maintain a welcoming class environment that supports personal growth.
• Complete attendance/records and participate in trainings as directed.
• Represent the Y's mission by leading by example and engaging with members.
