Job summary

Black Desert Resort in Southern Utah seeks a Part-Time Yoga Instructor to lead yoga and wellness classes for guests, members and private groups onsite and offsite. You’ll support outdoor experiences, guide sessions in Snow Canyon State Park, and ensure a professional, restorative guest experience aligned with luxury standards.

Responsibilities include studio setup and breakdown, equipment transport, and delivering multiple modalities such as meditation and breathwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 200‑hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certification.
• Experience teaching yoga indoors and outdoors preferred.
• Ability to lead meditation, restorative practices, stretching or breathwork.
• Strong guest engagement and service mindset.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead yoga classes for all levels onsite and in Snow Canyon State Park.
• Teach wellness offerings such as meditation, breathwork, stretching and mindful movement.
• Guide outdoor yoga sessions and transport equipment for offsite classes.
• Prepare class spaces, sanitize equipment, and maintain wellness spaces.
• Engage guests before and after classes with guidance and modifications.
• Assist with private sessions, retreats, and promotional wellness programming.
• Report safety issues or equipment needs promptly.

The Yoga Instructor contributes to the resort’s wellness vision through mindful, safe, and inspiring programming.

Job Summary

The Part-Time Yoga Instructor leads yoga and wellness classes for guests, members, and private groups both onsite and offsite. Responsibilities include facilitating yoga sessions, teaching additional wellness modalities, supporting outdoor experiences, guiding classes in Snow Canyon State Park, performing studio setup and breakdown, and ensuring each guest receives a professional and restorative experience. This role requires the ability to instruct in varying environments while upholding Black Desert Resort luxury service standards.

Job Specifications

Onsite: Black Desert Resort and Snow Canyon State Park

Shift and Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Part Time

Pay Rate: $10 per hour base wage + commissions and gratuities. Individual compensation varies based on class type, experience, and specialty programming. With total compensation estimated to average out to be around $40-$50/hr including when service charges are applicable.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Lead yoga classes tailored to all levels of experience and ability
• Teach wellness offerings such as meditation, breathwork, stretching, relaxation sessions, and mindful movement
• Guide outdoor yoga classes in Snow Canyon State Park and other designated outdoor spaces
• Transport equipment and support all logistics for offsite classes using resort vehicles
• Prepare class spaces including mats, props, lighting, music, and environmental setup
• Sanitize equipment and maintain cleanliness of wellness spaces after each class
• Engage guests before and after classes to provide guidance, modifications, and personalized support
• Assist with private sessions, specialty retreats, group functions, and promotional wellness programming
• Report safety issues, equipment needs, or guest incidents promptly
• Perform other wellness and spa related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certification required
• Experience teaching yoga in both indoor and outdoor environments preferred
• Ability to lead multiple modalities such as meditation, restorative practices, stretching, or breathwork
• Strong guest engagement skills with a service-focused mindset
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Must possess a valid driver license with acceptable driving record for transporting equipment or guests to Snow Canyon
• Ability to adapt instruction to diverse skill levels and physical abilities
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in changing outdoor conditions or guest environments
