Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 200-hour RYT certification required; 500-hour preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of group instruction experience preferred.
• CPR/AED certification preferred or required per local/state regulation.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, engaging yoga classes for all levels.
• Instruct postures, breathing, and meditation techniques.
• Greet members and foster a welcoming class atmosphere.
• Prepare studio environment for sessions (lighting, music, cleanliness).
• Monitor safety and adjust pacing as needed.
• Promote classes and events through engagement with members.
• Maintain at least one permanent class on the weekly schedule.
• Must be active on the sub list and sub at least once/month.
• Maintain current certifications and adhere to studio standards and policies.
• Follow sanitation protocols and health regulations to ensure a safe environment.
• Ensure best practices and safety procedures are performed as required.
• Report any facility maintenance or repair needs to management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Overview

The Yoga Instructor is responsible for leading safe, engaging, and inclusive yoga classes for members of all experience levels. This role requires a deep understanding of yoga principles, strong communication skills, and a passion for holistic wellness.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Instruction of various yoga postures, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques for members and students.
• Greet members warmly and foster a welcoming, supportive class atmosphere.
• Assist in the preparation of the studio environment for each session (e.g., lightning, music, cleanliness)
• Monitors participants for safety and adjust pacing or instruction as needed.
• Assist in promoting classes and events through engagement with members.
• Maintain at least one permanent class on the weekly schedule.

Experience & Requirements

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Requires standing, bending, and moving for extended periods.
• Studio-based setting with music and ambient lighting.
• Ability to lift and carry yoga equipment and supplies
• Ability to work in warm and humid conditions, especially during heated yoga classes.
