Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore is seeking a qualified yoga instructor to lead engaging classes, guide students through asanas, pranayama, and meditation while ensuring safety and proper alignment.

Applicants must hold a 200-hour RYT and have adult CPR/AED certification; experience teaching and designing lesson plans is valued. Compensation starts at $35/hr for trainees, rising to $40/hr with 200hr RYT and $50/hr for 500hr RYT, with ongoing growth tied to experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead yoga classes with aligned postures, breathing techniques, and meditation.
• Plan and structure class sequences considering student levels and styles.
• Demonstrate poses with proper alignment and technique.
• Offer modifications or alternatives for different abilities and needs.
• Circulate during class to provide guidance, corrections, and encouragement.
• Ensure safety and injury prevention in all class activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe practice space and store equipment properly.
