Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore seeks a certified Barre Instructor to lead engaging classes, ensure safety, and tailor routines for all fitness levels.

Attend staff trainings, keep the studio clean, and stay current on Barre trends. CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are required or provided by JCC. Pay starts at $25/hour for new instructors, with experienced staff at $30.50/hour; benefits include JCC membership and program discounts.

Qualifications

• Certified Barre Instructor with recognized certification (e.g., Barre Above, Barre Intensity).
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification required or provided by JCC.
• Previous teaching experience is a plus but not required; we welcome new instructors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging Barre classes for participants of all fitness levels.
• Develop and deliver safe Barre routines focusing on strength, balance, and flexibility.
• Provide clear instructions and proper form cues during class.
• Offer modifications to accommodate participant needs.
• Create a welcoming class environment to encourage participation and retention.
• Maintain a clean and organized fitness studio space.
• Stay current on Barre trends and attend staff trainings.
