Job summary

Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Yoga Instructor to join on weekends in Orem, Utah. Lead classes that promote fitness and mental well-being, tailoring instruction to all levels and ensuring safety and inclusivity.

Responsibilities include teaching various yoga styles, demonstrating postures, and educating attendees on body mechanics and physiology while fostering a supportive community and maintaining studio cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Yoga Instructor (200-hour minimum).
• Knowledge of body mechanics, anatomy, and physiology for safe practice.
• Experience teaching various styles of yoga; Pilates/cycle skills are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate participants.
• Previous gym/health club experience is advantageous.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass background check.

Responsibilities

Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable YOGA INSTRUCTOR to join our team on the weekends. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in yoga practices, body mechanics, and an understanding of anatomy and physiology. As a Yoga Instructor, you will lead classes that promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and a sense of community among participants. Your expertise will help students of all levels achieve their personal wellness goals in a supportive environment.

Work Schedule: 10:00am - 2:00pm (8) hours per week - Weekends (Sat & Sun) shift

Work Location: In-person @ 1350 East 750 North, Orem, Utah

Your goals & objectives include:

• Conduct engaging and safe yoga classes tailored to various skill levels, including beginners and advanced practitioners.
• Demonstrate proper techniques and postures while providing modifications to accommodate individual needs.
• Educate participants on the principles of body mechanics, anatomy, and physiology as they relate to yoga practice.
• Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages student interaction and community building.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their practice.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio space before and after classes.

Qualifications

Your qualifications include:

• Certification as a Yoga Instructor from a recognized program (200-hour minimum preferred).
• Knowledge of body mechanics, anatomy, and physiology is essential for ensuring safe practice.
• Experience in teaching various styles of yoga; additional skills in Pilates or cycle instruction are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire participants.
• Previous experience in a gym or health club setting is advantageous.
• Background in personal training or sports coaching is beneficial but not required.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development within the field of fitness and wellness
• MUST be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check and drug screen
